IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DETAILS

First, we have SCHOLARSHIPS for students, professionals, tradespeople, and others. Registration and overnight
costs are covered. Submit a letter describing preservation interests and a letter of recommendation to
mhpnscholarships@gmail.com. Second, VOLUNTEERS are needed. Volunteers receive free registration on work days;
added days are at the Student Rate. Contact VolunteerMHPN@gmail.com

The Conference is headquartered at Mission Point Resort where overnight accommodations also are available
Tuesday-Friday nights. Room descriptions and rates based on single or double occupancy found at
www.missionpoint.com. Mission Point is offering a rate of $160/night; please add 6% sales tax, 3% local
assessment, 10% resort levy, and one-time charge of $6 per person for luggage transfer from the mainland to
the resort and back. There is a $25 additional charge per guest for triple/quad occupancy. RESERVATIONS: 1)
Identify yourself being with MHPN and call 800-833-7711, email reservationsdepartment@missionpoint.com, or go
to the www.mhpn.org/conference for on-line registration portal in the “Mission Point Resort Fact Sheet.” 2)
Reservations must be made no later than 5 PM, April 9; rooms based on availability at time of call; rooms
after that date at the Resort’s discretion. 3) Credit card is charged for deposit of one night’s room and tax
at time of booking; Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover accepted. 4) Reservations must be canceled at
least 14 days prior to arrival to receive refund minus $25 process fee. 5) Check-In 4PM/Check-out 11AM.

accommodations and amenities, ferry service to the Island, and horse-drawn shuttle service.

Business casual is appropriate for all activities, but many dress for Friday’s Awards Evening. Wear
comfortable shoes for tours; have rain/cold weather gear available.

For a Vendors’ Showcase space in the Mission Point Resort’s “Sound Stage,” complete Registration page 35 in the conference brochure (See link in upper left corner) or register here by clicking on the red button. Vendor spaces approx. 8’ x 10’ with up to two 8’ tables with
cloths and 2 chairs. You provide display elements; attaching items to walls is prohibited. Electrical outlets
and internet available. There is no secure on-site storage; neither MHPN nor the venue is liable.
Set-up/break-down times are sent closer to the conference; at www.mhpn.org/conference, see “Mission Point
Resort Fact Sheet” and “Shipping and Logistical Details” for how to get display items to the Island. Hours:
setup is Wednesday, 2 PM–6 PM; Thursday, 8:30 AM-6:30 PM; Vendors’ Showcase and Opening Reception Thursday 5

a sponsor, a discount on the member booth price of $110 applies: support of $5,000+ = FREE; $2,500+ = $27;
$1,000+ = $55; $750 - $500+ = $82; $250+ = $100. Don’t know if you’re a conference sponsor? Ask Ken.

Any net profit supports MHPN operations, programs, and/or endowments at the direction of the Executive
Committee. A review of finances is available through the office.

The MHPN assumes no responsibility for any injury, loss, or other damage to any person or property occurring
in relation to any activity connected to or arising out of this Annual Conference or any events or tours
associated therewith.

General: Each person participating in any event, tour, or other activity related to this Annual Conference
hereby releases the MHPN and all cooperating organizations and related individuals from any and all suits,
demands, or claims for injury (including death), loss, or other damage arising out of or occurring in
connection with any activity associated with said Annual Conference. Photography: Your registration
constitutes implied consent to be photographed and to have those photos published with non-personal
identification.

  1. Registrations after April 19 and walk-ins welcome, but food/activities are not guaranteed.
  2. Refunds subject to a $20 administrative fee and made 30-45 days post-conference.
  3. Cancellations or changes after April 19, and no-shows, are not reimbursed; contact the MHPN with
    Covid-related issues.
  4. Reservations may be transferred, unchanged, to another participant; notify the MHPN.
  5. Tours, events, lunches have capacity limits; waiting lists are kept.

The MHPN seeks to assure that programs, meetings, and other sponsored events held either in person or
virtually, are opoen and welcoming to everyone. To assure this is possible, MHPN expects all participants to
follow the Code of Professional Conduct at www.mhpn.org under "About Us." We expect everyone's cooperation to
help ensure a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for all.

We will follow CDC and State of Michigan guidelines current in May, 2023. They will be posted on the MHPN
website ahead of time and posted at the conference. As always, please do not attend if youa re not well. See
page 34 for reimbursement policies.
